Portable pull up bar
Pull up bars have been popular for longer than I can remember and this is not without reason. They are an extremely efficient way of building muscle and strength. These two factors combined with the fact that they are actually really cheap, is what has really boosted the popularity of pull up bars.
Even though they also offer a lot of flexibility in the way that they don’t take up a lot of space, a problem has been that they are not easily transportable like for example the transportable dumbbells. This problem is what originally fueled the idea of the portable pull up bar. I have quickly become a fan of this genius model and since I do a lot of travelling I use this particular model a lot.
The first couple of models to hit the market weren’t very good however and either they would break very quickly or they had really poor safety and you were constantly worried about falling down and hurting yourself. However the portable pull up bar has been greatly refined in the last couple of years and the different models on the market right now are really solid.
There are a couple of different types of this model and the two most famous ones are your regular portable pull up bar and the free standing pull up bar station. The free standing model has a large frame and is designed to stand on the ground. It is portable in the sense that you can move it around in your house, it can however be pretty heavy and therefore I personally don’t count it 100% portable. The regular portable type is just a bar that can be set up in doorways without the need for screws or anything like that. You simply put it inside the door frame and turn the pull up bar which then extends until it is completely secured.
The portable pull up bar can fit most doorways and it can typically be used for doors from 24-40 inches. This model is the one I use on my travels and it has worked perfectly. It literally takes you 40-60 seconds to set up and then you are ready to have a nice small workout.

I personally really love setting it up as soon as I get to a hotel. Then I order a nice cold smoothie, do a 10 minute workout, take a shower and lay on the bed while I drink my fabulous drink. I have to warn you however, I have gotten a few weird looks from room service and cleaning when they see that I have decided to refurnish their hotel rooms with what looks like a short stripper pole.
The portable pull up bar is not a lot more expensive than the regular models and if you are someone who is constantly on the go or you just need extra flexibility and freedom, it is a great model of pull up bar for you to purchase.
